DETROIT -- The Oakland women's tennis team will play a pair of dual matches at Detroit on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m. After completing the first match, the teams will switch lineups and play a second match starting around 2 p.m.
"With two Division I programs located so close to each other, this is a great opportunity for both teams to gain experience," said OU coach Heather Redshaw. "We started the year well and I think this will help us continue to improve."
As part of the non-traditional season, the two dual matches will not count towards the teams' records, but will allow both to gain valuable experience. After playing with their normal lineups in the first match, one team will adjust the roster to allow players to play out of position to provide new matchups for the second dual.
