YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Courtney Wightman slammed a career-high 19 kills, hitting .429, and added eight digs and one block as the Oakland volleyball team edged Youngstown State (7-21, 0-14 HL) in five sets Sunday evening.
Darien Bandel led the offense with 25 kills and her 10th 20-plus kill match of the season, hitting .375, while Sammy Condon recorded 14 kills for a hitting percentage of .440 while also adding six blocks.
Maddie Lentz also had a career high 20 digs and Jordan Lentz set a career high 62 assists which ranks sixth-most in program history for an individual match. She also added 11 digs and five blocks. Darrin Rice and Lindsay Wightman had solid defensive performances recording 26 and 15 digs respectively.
Oakland (15-11, 10-4 HL) will close out the regular season next week with a pivotal match against first-place IUPUI on Nov. 8, then UIC on Nov. 10.
