ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland volleyball team will start its 2017 season with its Black and Gold scrimmage Saturday in addition to holding a Camper Reunion Clinic prior at 2:30 p.m. The Golden Grizzlies will scrimmage at 4 p.m. playing at least three sets with trivia questions in between each set.
"I am excited to be able to showcase our talented team at our Black & Gold Game," said head coach Rob Beam. "This has already been an outstanding training camp. We also added the Fun Fair last year and it added an outstanding new element for our families and fans to be able to compete for prizes and learn more about our student-athletes."
After the game, the team will offer a variety of games and drills with players plus sign autographs. Admission is free and the Camper Reunion Clinic is open to any and all participants in grades 4-8 (limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender).
Oakland will travel to Toledo for an exhibition match on Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. before heading to Butler for a tournament Aug. 25-26.
